Biography:
Atiya Mahmood's research areas are health and built environment with focus on housing for older adults, neighborhood environment and active living, socio-cultural factors in homecare, and gerotechnology. Dr. Mahmood's current funded projects include: community environment and physical activity in older adults, gerotechnology, caregiving and aging in place; housing for ethnic older adults, and the role of physical environment patient safety and staff performance in long-term care settings.
