Biography:
Juris Milestone is currently teaching courses in socio-cultural anthropology at Temple University. Dr. Milestone taught in the critical writing program at the University of Pennsylvania, and occasionally also teaches in urban studies at the Penn Institute for Urban Research. His interests include aesthetics, power, and expertise; design and culture; governmentality and design policy. An article based partly on his dissertation is titled "Design as Power: Paul Virilio and the Governmentality of Design Expertise" and was published in Culture, Theory and Critique 48(2), Oct. 2007.
