| Tulsa Community College has been awarded $400,000 in Community Outreach Partnership Centers Program (COPC) funding to serve a target population of over 4,000 low-income people residing in and adjacent to ten family public housing communities. The College, working in cooperation with the Housing Authority of the City of Tulsa will focus on seven problem areas: housing; economic development; health care; job training; education; crime prevention; and community organization. Services will be delivered and coordinated in the established Learning Resource Centers and Recreation Centers of the public housing communities. The underlying focus of this comprehensive approach will be to help the residents achieve self-sufficiency.
