| The MPA program offered by the University of Alabama at Birmingham provides students with a program that is comprehensive in the curriculum and flexible in its scope. Students interested in community building/management or economic development, have the option to further their studies by choosing to specialize in areas of organizational management, urban planning and management, public policy analysis, and public finance and economic development. Further, students have the option to work one on one with faculty members to pursue a specific interest they may have in an area of community building or economic development. The CDWSP has a good reputation in the Birmingham community, as evidenced by the growing numbers of requests to host interns.
