| The University of Memphis, in partnership with LeMoyne Owen College, a historically Black college, will provide research and outreach support for four Memphis neighborhoods. The four neighborhoods are North Memphis, LeMoyne Gardens, Orange Mound, and Airways/Lamar.
The COPC will have several broad research and outreach agendas: to respond to the requests and needs of the neighborhood residents; to develop a comprehensive database to assist in planning and evaluation to help residents identify strategies for effective policy changes; and to provide technical support, skills and leadership training, and other programs to help neighborhood residents plan solutions, implement programs, and achieve policy changes necessary for long-term resolution of urban problems.
