| The University of Michigan will use its $90,000 Community Development Work Study Program (CDWSP) grant to assist three economically disadvantaged and minority students in the Urban and Regional Planning Program. This 48-credit, 2-year degree program prepares students for professional careers in urban planning with special strength in community development through a combination of course work and opportunities for professional experience.
Several organizations have agreed to place CDWSP students, including the Ann Arbor Housing Commission, the Detroit Planning and Development Department, and the Nortown Community Development Corporation.
