| The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (UNC-CH) will assist economically disadvantaged and minority students using a $90,000 Community Development Work Study Program (CDWSP) grant. The university's Department of City and Regional Planning has been involved with the CDWSP for many years and has provided a number of graduates in the fields of community development and planning. The Master of Regional Planning program is fully accredited by the Planning Accreditation Board of the American Planning Association and the Association of Collegiate Schools of Planning.
Students will have the opportunity to work in a variety of agencies, including Empowerment, Inc., the Durham Community Land Trustees, Inc., the UNC-CH Community Outreach Partnership Center, the Orange County Planning Department, and the Town of Carrboro Economic Development Department.
