| The University of Tennessee-Chattanooga (UTC) has received a Community Development Work Study Program (CDWSP) grant totaling $90,000. This grant will assist economically disadvantaged and minority students enrolled in the Master of Public Administration program at UTC. The structure of this rigorous 36/42-hour masters program provides students with both a content rich in knowledge and the practical experiences to enter the workforce. Each student is provided the opportunity to work in five Chattanooga community agencies through the internship component of the program, which introduces students to challenging management experiences that prepare them for careers in the public sector. Participating agencies include the Regional Planning Office, the Chattanooga Research Council, the Inter-City Community Development Corporation, and the 28th legislative District CDC.
