Overview
Adams State College (ASC) will use its Hispanic-Serving Institutions Assisting Communities (HSIAC) grant to renovate a vacant, historical building on the east side of ASC's campus to be used as a community and business development center. The Spanish-style adobe building was built in 1932 and is in need of floor plan renovations in order to be functional and safe. Services provided at the center will include business counseling, community business Internet access, referrals, volunteering mentoring services, business and community promotion, and nonprofit organizational assistance. The target area for this project is Alamosa, Colorado.
