| The Masters of Public Administration (MPA) degree program at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville offers its Community Development Work Study Program students an opportunity to gain relevant, hands-on experience, and get a head start in their community building careers. Students are interviewed and matched with community development-oriented agencies such as Big Brother/Big Sister, local city government, housing authorities, and additional local agencies and units of government. The MPA program has historically and continues today to broaden efforts to serve economically disadvantaged and minority students in the community.
