| The Master of Public Administration degree program at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville has received an $89,028 Community Development Work Study Program (CDWSP) funds to provide the opportunity for economically disadvantaged students in the St. Louis metropolitan community to earn a Master of Public Administration degree, gain significant on-the-job experience in community-building activities, and get a significant boost on the climb toward a successful career.
To accomplish this, the MPA program has contacted and developed relationships with a number of nonprofit and public agencies involved in community development that have expressed interest in participating in the program. Among the sites participating in this CDWSP are Big Brothers/Big Sisters, Habitat for Humanity, and Great Rivers Land Trust.
