| Jackson State University (JSU), through the West Jackson Community Development Partnership, will establish a Home Ownership Program (JSU HOP) to further its efforts to increase homeownership in the Western section of the City of Jackson adjacent to the university. JSU will acquire and rehabilitate vacant properties, which will be sold to low- and moderate-income individuals and families who successfully complete the HOP workshops. The proceeds from the sales will be used to capitalize a Revolving Acquisition and Rehabilitation Fund to continue the homeownership project beyond the HBCU grant period.
