| The University of Pittsburgh has received a $90,000 Community Development Work Study Grant to provide support for three graduate students enrolled in the Graduate School of Public and International Affairs (GSPIA) and the School of Social Work. Students will be enrolled in GSPIA's Master Degree in Public Administration (MPA) or the dual-degree GSPIA/Social Work program leading to a joint MPA and Master's of Social Work.
The University of Pittsburgh will join with a number of public and nonprofit agencies and community-based organizations that provide housing services, economic development, technical assistance, project support, planning, operating funds and/or other initiatives for community building and community revitalization in the Pittsburgh area. These include University of Pittsburgh Community Outreach Partnerships Center (COPC) and its community partners, the Oakland Planning and Development Corporation, Breachmenders, the Community Technical Assistance Center, and the Pittsburgh Partnership for Neighborhood Development.
