Midland College (MC) is located in the heart of the remote West Texas Permian Basin oil field. MC proposes to use its HSIAC grant to expand its role and effectiveness in addressing community development needs by establishing the following: a science technology initiative that will build affordable housing and train community members for entry-level construction industry jobs; and a Business and Economic Development Center Services initiative that will implement mini-MBA seminar series for small-business owners and individualized services to Midland Hispanic Chamber of Commerce incubator clients.
