| San Diego State University-Imperial Valley Campus proposes to use its HSIAC grant to strengthen its commitment to educate, mentor, and develop educational, social, and economic prospects for countywide low- to moderate-income inhabitants, which will foster empowerment and family self-sufficiency opportunities. The program will specifically target colonia residents within the city of Niland and the colonia-designated areas of Calexico, Heber, Brawley, and Seeley. The program will include interventions in the following areas: literacy and language, workforce development, youth development, business development and support services, and computer technology.
