| With a $90,000 Community Development Work Study Program (CDWSP) grant, Minnesota State University - Mankato will assist economically disadvantaged and minority graduate students enrolled in the Urban and Regional Studies Institute, including students with disabilities, with a particular effort expended to attract Native Americans interested in tribal community and economic development. Each of the recipients will undertake a two-year program of graduate study in the Urban and Regional Studies Institute with emphasis in community building skills including community and economic development, community planning, and community management.
Students will be placed in various organizations, including the Region Nine Development Commission, Blue Earth County, Nicollet County, and the City of Mankato.
