Overview
The Milano Graduate School of Management and Urban Policy at New School University will fund economically disadvantaged and/or minority students with a $90,000 Community Development Work Study Program grant, preparing them educationally and experientially, for careers in the field of community development, with a special emphasis on community development finance. The Milano Graduate School, located in New York City, the heart of the world's financial markets, plans to offer its community development education with an emphasis in Community Economic Development and Finance for selected students. The students, recruited specifically for this program, will earn Masters of Science degrees in Urban Policy Analysis and Management with a concentration in Community Economic Development and Finance. Milano Community Development Fellows will take the school-wide and program-required courses in the Urban Policy Analysis and Management program. The core courses will expose students to the broad issues and theories of community development within an urban context and will prepare them with the basic technical skills they will need in their professional roles.
