| The University of Southern California (USC) has received a $90,000 Community Development Work Study program grant to assist economically disadvantaged and minority students receive their master's degree. The School of Policy, Planning, and Development will offer the grant to students enrolled in the Master of Planning, Master of Public Administration, and Master of Public Policy programs.
Drawing on the vast resources of the city of Los Angeles, USC will join with several organizations for placing students in work assignments. These include the Los Angeles Neighborhood Initiative, the Gateway Cities Partnership, Inc., the USC Center for Economic Development, the Community Development Department, City of West Hollywood, and the Cultural Affairs Department, City of Los Angeles.
