| California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo (Cal Poly) has received a $90,000 Community Development Work Study Program (CDWSP) grant to assist economically disadvantaged and minority students enrolled in the City and Regional Planning Department. The Department offers a Master of City and Regional Planning (MCRP) degree, which is designed for students who have majored in a broad range of fields, such as urban design, environmental studies, and the social sciences. The MCRP program is a 2-year professional degree program that requires 72 credit units. Students will have an opportunity to work at several agencies, including the People's Self-Help Housing Corporation, the San Luis Obispo County Department of Planning and Building, the Economic Vitality Corporation, and the San Luis Obispo Council of Governments.
