Alabama State University (ASU) intends to use its Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU) grant to provide assistance to low- to moderate-income homeowners in the target area of Council District 5 in Montgomery whose home are not in compliance with the building code standards of the city of Montgomery. This program will serve a significant role in galvanizing the communities to come together and solve community problems.
