Bishop State Community College with its HBCU grant will focus on revitalizing the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Avenue community that has been selected by the city of Mobil as a target area to be redeveloped. The Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Avenue Redevelopment Corporation will spearhead the planning and development of a supermarket. The college will initiate and coordinate job training and basic adult education for employment in the supermarket.
