| Xavier University of Louisiana, through its community development corporation (CDC), will conduct a series of four cooperative housing workshops to train potential members of housing cooperatives to encourage the development of 20,000 vacant units as low density cooperative homes. These cooperative homes will have three or more bedrooms, which are desperately needed by the low- to moderate-income families. The university will also develop a revolving loan fund to be used to facilitate the development and rehabilitation of residential properties for eligible Community Development Block Grant residents in the CDC target area.
