| Oakwood College will utilize the HBCU grant to aid in the elimination of blighted homes in target areas of the Terry Heights and Hillandale communities. The activities include: rehabilitating 15-20 substandard/blighted owner-occupied homes in partnership with the Terry Heights Community Development Corporation (THCDC); expanding adult education opportunities by creating a second center for adult learning; and continuing and expanding an afterschool tutorial program for school-age children in the target area.
