Overview
Dillard University of New Orleans is a first-time recipient of a Historically Black Colleges and Universities competitive grant. The grant funds will assist the university in establishing the Dillard-Gentilly Community Development Corporation (DGCDC) to facilitate community revitalization through increased home ownership opportunities. The DGCDC will enter into a partnership with the Finance Authority of New Orleans to enable rental residents to become first-time homebuyers. Through the DGCDC, the university will implement actions that address the priorities of the city of New Orleans Consolidated Plan, to enhance community stabilization.
