Overview
Florida A&M University (FAMU) in Tallahassee will use a $550,000 Historically Black Colleges and Universities grant to provide community development assistance to the Bond/Southside and Greater Frenchtown areas. The Institute on Urban Policy and Commerce at FAMU will expand the role of the university for the purpose of providing economic development, housing assistance for the homeless, and family empowerment for low- to moderate-income residents residing in the Bond/Southside and Greater Frenchtown neighborhoods’ revitalization strategy areas.
