| The University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff will receive a Historically Black Colleges and Universities grant of $500,000 to help the university continue to improve the North Pine Bluff community in which it is located. The grant will fund activities designed to address the long-term revitalization needs of the community through housing, business development, educational enhancement programs, and community empowerment assistance. Projects to be undertaken with this grant include acquisition and development of retail and commercial space; provision of technical assistance of community development organizations; tutoring programs to K-3 students in the University Park neighborhood; and a subgrant to ensure continued viability of the Family Community Development Corporation.
