Overview
Voorhees College in Denmark, South Carolina, will receive a Historically Black Colleges and Universities grant of $500,000 to continue to address the housing and economic development needs of Census Tract 9601 in the City of Denmark. Among the activities to be undertaken are: rehabilitation of an apartment complex; provision of job training and microbusiness enterprise assistance; operation of a Twenty/20 Education Community Center; and sustaining the Voorhees-Denmark Community Development Corporation.
