Overview
C.A. Fredd Technical College intends to use its Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU) Category II grant to implement a four-prong neighborhood revitalization project in collaboration with local Tuscaloosa residents, the West Highland Neighbors. The project proposes to: develop sustainable solutions to identified problems through neighborhood involvement, organization, and leadership; empower residents to become employed through education, technical skill training, and job placement programs; increase homeownership by creating an affordable solution to housing through collaborative efforts in establishing an affordable housing program; and address problems related to the positive development of children and youth.
