Claflin University in Orangeburg, South Carolina, will use its $550,000 Historically Black Colleges and Universities grant to provide community development assistance to the City of Orangeburg. The grant will enable Claflin University to increase access to affordable housing, increase the availability of quality housing, and empower low- and moderate-income individuals to improve their lives.
