Fisk University will utilize its Historically Black Colleges and Universities resources to promote in-fill housing development on properties owned by the university. Another activity that will be undertaken in the Jefferson Street area is the stabilization of the North Nashville CDC in order to fully carry out the Fisk-Meharry Neighborhood Plan. The university in partnership with Meharry Medical College co-sponsors a yearround neighborhood cleanup program with the Nashville Downtown Partnership.
