| Louisiana State University and A&M College in partnership with Old South Baton Rouge will use its Community Outreach Partnerships Centers (COPC) New Directions grant to unite community stakeholders and partners in a successful multidisciplinary effort to restore and revitalize a historical community that is the heartbeat of the capital of Louisiana. This project will have two specific areas of focus residential enhancement, which will focus on providing increased homeownership and rental opportunities for low- and moderate-income persons; and advancing opportunities for youth to become employable, entrepreneurial, and hopeful of a higher quality of life for themselves and their families.
