| Louisiana State University (LSU) School of Architecture intends to use its Community Outreach Partnership Centers Futures Demonstration grant in Old South Baton Rouge, Mid City, and Eden Park. LSU’s goal is to facilitate community and university collaboration to improve the quality and production of affordable housing units for low- to moderate-income households in Baton Rouge. With these funds, LSU proposes to develop the following: the design of four demonstration houses, the design of four neighborhood plans, green materials and products, a common strategic plan among city-wide CDCs to improve construction efficiency and production, an affordable housing Web site, and an annual symposium.
