| Tennessee State University’s (TSU’s) Office of Service Learning and Civic Engagement (OSLCE) intends to use its Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU) grant to continue its assistance to the low- and moderate-income persons in the North Nashville community. TSU will use the grant funds to upgrade the physical condition of Watkins Park (the 104-year-old park at the center of this impoverished community); renovate physical facilities of three community-based organizations; and upgrade technology access and literacy in five community and faith based organizations. In addition, technology support and services will be provided to an additional two grassroots faith-based organizations. This technology project will provide computer hardware and software, as well as needed maintenance, training, and services.
