| Southern University at Shreveport intends to use its Community Outreach Partnership Centers grant to undertake the following community economic development activities within its communities of northwest Shreveport: 1) Expansion of existing minority micro-business enterprise incubator program; 2) Neighborhood economic and skill development through vocational job training and entrepreneurship; 3) Provision of home ownership education focusing on home-buying process, fair housing, home improvements and housing counseling; 4) Establishment of Service Learning Program to enhance community development; and 5) Direct technical assistance, training and development through capacity building for selected community-based organizations in the target area.
