| North Carolina Central University in Durham will use its $549,479 Historically Black Colleges and Universities grant to establish a Community Economic Development Center. This center will promote revitalization of neighborhood commercial districts, creation and growth of small businesses, and overall increase in wealth, incomes, and tax base in the target area. These activities are part of the North Carolina Central University/Eagle Village Community Economic Development Initiative.
