| Paul Quinn College in Dallas, Texas, will receive a Historically Black Colleges and Universities grant of $550,000 to continue economic development activities within the southern sector of Dallas referred to as the Simpson Stuart Community. The community suffers from economic disinvestments and a severe lack of social services. The grant will be used for façade of art improvements at the Highland Hills Shopping Center owned by Paul Quinn College and managed by the Paul Quinn Community Development Corporation (CDC). In addition to improvements, the college and the CDC will offer business development classes to existing businesses.
