| Fond du Lac Tribal and Community College, located in Cloquet, Minnesota, has outgrown its current facilities. A needs analysis conducted showed that the college currently operates its facility at capacity in the existing academic facility due to enrollment increases and the addition of new programs and services. The lack of space is so severe that the administration added two temporary trailers on site to house environmental sciences programming.
To address this need for classroom space, Fond du Lac Tribal and Community College has embarked on an ambitious capital improvement project to expand the college's main campus. Combined with $7,100,000 in funding from the State of Minnesota, the American Indian College Fund, the United States Department of Agriculture, the Otto Bremer Foundation, the Department of Defense, and internal funding, the $400,000 TCUP grant will allow for the construction of 34,363 square feet of new building, nearly doubling the size of the college.
