| The Universidad del Turabo (UT) intends to use its Hispanic-Serving Institutions Assisting Communities (HSIAC) grant to promote real options for new self-employment opportunities for low- and moderate-income families in order to achieve the self-economic reliance of the region to be served. UT will expand the role and effectiveness of the university and its partners in addressing the community development needs of the Eastern Central Region of Puerto Rico. The project entails the construction of an expansion of the UT Community Career Center to establish a Community Microenterprise Development and Incubator Center.
