| Claremont Graduate University in California will use its $349,955 Community Outreach Partnership Centers grant to establish the Ontario Community University Partnership (OCUP) Serving the Sultana Corridor: A Different Face of Poverty. Together with its long time collaborator, Pitzer College, Claremont will first work with the recently developed Ontario Grassroots Think Tank to assist in the regeneration of community life and develop bonds between students, faculty and staff, and members of community groups and residents in the Sultana Corridor. Claremont will perform both research and outreach activities in the areas of capacity-building, housing, health, and education.
