Overview
The University of Alaska Fairbanks, Northwest Campus intends to use its Alaska Native/Native Hawaiian Institutions Assisting Communities (AN/NHIAC) grant to replace the roof on the Northwestern Alaska Career and Technical Center (NACTEC) dorm at Nome-Beltz High School. Remaining funds will be used to remodel the dorm entrance. High school students attending NACTEC would use the dorm, along with regional partners to do educational training. The project will be accomplished through the partnerships developed by the Northwest Campus, the City of Nome, Bering Strait School District, NACTEC, and Nome Public Schools.
