| Southern University, in conjunction with its partners the Urban League of greater New Orleans, and the Beinville corridor development collaborative, proposes to develop a master plan of the Beinville corridor. The goal of the master plan is to create a holistic plan to empower neighborhood and community-based not-for-profit organizations to develop the capacity to revitalize their community. An Urban Design Research Center will be developed. This center will be nonprofit, community-based, and university affiliated. The center will be used for community planning and design for residents, organizations, community leaders, business partners and government.
