| The Long Beach Community College District proposes to use its HSIAC grant to offer a program consistent with HUD’s Community Development Block Grant National Objectives that will provide information, training, coordination, and referrals for low- to moderate-income residents who provide family child care in their homes. The overall goals of the project are threefold: 1) assist the communities where participants live by providing much-needed child care; 2) assist the family child care providers to successfully create and/or build a child care business; and 3) teach participants about the home-buying process and provide them with a variety of resources to ultimately become a homeowner in the City of Long Beach.
