| Universidad Metropolitana (UMET) proposes to use its HSIAC grant to promote job training and employment opportunities, adult education through literacy and GED services, technology access and readiness, as well as holistic personal development activities to enhance self-sufficiency, employability, and economic self-reliance of low- and moderate-income families in San Juan. UMET intends to construct the UMET Community Outreach Partnership Center (COPC). The UMET COPC will provide the following services to the targeted community: 1) career development and placement; 2) adult education/literacy and GED; 3) technology and information access; and 4) wellness development activities to qualified participants.
