| San Antonio College (SAC) Women’s Center, Avance, Inc., a parenting education program, and UU Housing Assistance Corp., a community-based development organization, have formed a partnership to provide adult “re-entry” education, training, and home-buyer assistance and preparation. SAC proposes to use its HSIAC grant to renovate and expand an abandoned building to be used as the Seguir Adelante Center for Adult Re-Entry Education and Training, and to pay for a portion of the services provided at the center. The center will provide training, individual counseling services, and a computer/tutoring lab for at least 250 clients each year.
