| Sheldon Jackson College will use its $800,000 Alaska Native/Native Hawaiian Institutions Assisting Communities (AN/NHIAC) grant to establish a 15-credit program of managerial studies, to be known as the expanded Village Management Institute for individuals in administrative positions in communities in Southeast Alaska. Students will each spend four one-week residences on campus for three credits per residency, and participate in a 3-credit distance-delivered program of study. This program will replace the former more limited program. The expanded program will provide greater depth and continuity that was lacking in the former program.
