| Livingstone College (LU) intends to use its Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU) grant to promote community economic development by stimulating and creating opportunities for low-to moderate income families in the areas of home ownership, economic self-sufficiency and business development. Through various partnerships Livingstone College will undertake the following activities: 1) construct five affordable housing units, 2) undertake planning and pre-development work for an affordable housing subdivision and other facilities, and 3) carry out neighborhood stabilization efforts.
