| Fort Berthold Community College (FBCC) is a tribal college located on the Fort Berthold Indian Reservation in North Dakota serving the Mandan, Hidatsa, and Arikara Nation. FBCC is a 2-year public institution accredited by The Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools. The college is also a 1994 Land Grant Institution.
FBCC intends to use its Tribal Colleges and Universities Program (TCUP) grant to: 1) renovate and centralize the Student Services Offices to better provide services to students; 2) equip and furnish the Mandan, Hidatsa, and Arikara Student Center, including the cafeteria, activity room, and Internet study lounge; 3) install a security surveillance system; and 4) install an ADA-compliant directory of all offices. The impact of this project on the institution will be improved graduation rates, retention rates, course completion rates, and higher transfer rates, as well as increased student enrollment. In addition, the college will provide a safe environment for students, staff, faculty, and visitors; reduce campus crime statistics; and provide a campus-wide ADA-compliant directory.
