| Clinton Junior College, located in Rock Hill, South Carolina, intends to use its Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU) grant to expand its capacity to support, improve, and empower the Crawford Road North neighborhood, which is a predominantly African-American community that is very much in need of housing and neighborhood revitalization. Through the Clinton Junior College Community Development Project, the college intends to build and renovate up to six affordable, quality homes for low- to moderate-income people who seek homeownership, and to provide a GED program for up to 10 persons per semester who are enrolled in the project’s homebuyer program, as a public service and at a reduced price.
