Based on the results of a 1998 community survey and comprehensive planning strategies, the university will undertake the development of a 45,000-square-foot commercial/retail/civic strip shopping center. To augment the commercial development, Langston, in two phases, will conduct a housing needs survey and develop a housing strategic plan to identify the housing needs for low to moderate-income residents in the target area.
