| Central Connecticut State University has been awarded $368,160 in Community Outreach Partnership Centers funding to provide applied research and outreach to the Broad Street neighborhood of New Britain, Connecticut. Central Connecticut State proposes a series of projects designed to address three major problems associated with community organization, economic development, and housing. These projects include the creation of a Merchants Association and a Property Owners Association; setting up a Jobs Network and Information Center; offering conflict mediation services for landlord-tenant disputes; and providing job training for selected groups of employees.
